Slightly Delic
I sometimes play as DJ Slightly Delic, but I don't get to DJ as much as I used to. When I do, I play an eclectic mix of world music and electronic sounds, with some subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) disco influences, as well as Jazz, House, Techno, Funk, and more.
DazAutomatic
"Sheffield's answer to Erol Alkan"
-- The Guardian Guide, Feb 2004

From my earlier days in the music scene, when I went by the name DazAutomatic. I had DJ residencies in Sheffield, and played one-off gigs supporting the likes of DJ Yoda, Cut-la-roc, and Freelance Hellraiser.
I started making music in 1995 using a Stereoblaster sampler and Octamed Pro on an Amiga 1200. After discovering the bootleg remix scene through Soulwax and Freelance Hellraiser's "Stroke of Genius", I recorded my first bootleg in late 2002, a turntable mix of Simple Minds and Roc Master Scott. When I got a proper computer in January 2003, I joined McSleazy's Get Your Bootleg On forum and began posting tracks, eventually joining the admin team alongside Grant McSleazy, Richie Deluxe, and Blo_up.
My remixes gained some recognition, with "Belle Streetastian" and "Justin Hacker Remix" featured on XFM's The Remix, and my J.Lo vs Liam Lynch track reaching number 6 on QTV's bootleg chart. I've played sets across the UK and at the International Bastard Pop Weekenders in Europe, and held a residency at Sheffield Hallam Students' Union. Before DazAutomatic, I ran SoulShow 2002, a bi-monthly Motown and Northern Soul night, and was also part of Alt.Pop at the University of Sheffield.
